California calls $118 million various purpose general obligation bonds

Norfolk, Va., April 30 - The State of California called $118.49 million of its various purpose general obligation bonds, according to a notice from the Treasurer of the State of California.
The following will be redeemed at par plus accrued interest on June 1:
• $8,425,000 of 5% bonds due Dec. 1, 2017;
• $8,875,000 of 5% bonds due Dec. 1, 2018;
• $13.5 million of 5.25% bonds due Dec. 1, 2026;
• $14,225,000 of 5.25% bonds due Dec. 1, 2027;
• $14,995,000 of 5.25% bonds due Dec. 1, 2028;
• $20,145,000 of 5% bonds due Dec. 1, 2031; and
• $38,325,000 of 5.25% bonds due Dec. 1, 2033.
