Illinois exercises call option on $68.94 million of its G.O. bonds

Minneapolis, Jan. 30 - The State of Illinois exercised its call option on $68.94 million of its general obligation bonds, series of March 2004, according to a notice.

The following will be redeemed at par plus accrued interest on March 1:

• $11.22 million of 5% bonds due March 1, 2015;

• $11.78 million of 5% bonds due March 1, 2016;

• $7.54 million of 5% bonds due March 1, 2021;

• $3.21 million of 5% bonds due March 1, 2022;

• $17,165,000 of 5% bonds due March 1, 2023; and

• $18,025,000 of 5% bonds due March 1, 2024.

The Office of the State Treasurer, Springfield, Ill., is the bond registrar and paying agent.
