Los Angeles defeases $58.03 million wastewater system revenue bonds

Madison, Wis., June 21 - The City of Los Angeles gave notice that it defeased a portion of its wastewater system revenue bonds, refunding series 2005-A.

The refunded bonds include the following:

• $10.46 million of $12,915,000 outstanding 4.5% bonds due June 1, 2029;

• $10.96 million of $13.53 million outstanding 5% bonds due June 1, 2030;

• $11.54 million of $14,245,000 outstanding 5% bonds due June 1, 2031;

• $12,055,000 of $14,885,000 outstanding 5% bonds due June 1, 2032;

• $8,465,000 of $32.19 million outstanding 5% bonds due June 1, 2034; and

• $4.55 million of $17.31 million outstanding 4.75% bonds due June 1, 2035.

The defeased bonds will be redeemed on June 1, 2015 at par.
