Freescale Semiconductor calls $442 million of 10 1/8% notes due 2018

Minneapolis, May 22 - Freescale Semiconductor, Ltd. plans to redeem $442 million of its 10 1/8% senior secured notes due 2018 with the proceeds of a new offering of notes, according to an 8-K filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes will be redeemed at par plus the applicable premium on June 20.

Freescale is an Austin, Texas-based designer and manufacturer of embedded semiconductors for the automotive, consumer, industrial, networking and wireless markets.
