AngloGold Ashanti to redeem remaining 3.5% convertibles on Nov. 8

Madison, Wis., Oct. 9 - AngloGold Ashanti Holdings Finance plc will redeem all of its outstanding 3.5% guaranteed convertible bonds due 2014 on Nov. 8, according to a notice.

The bonds will be redeemed at par plus accrued interest to the redemption date.

Holders may convert the bonds on or prior to Oct. 30.

As of Oct. 7 the outstanding principal amount of the bonds is $6.6 million. The company had completed a tender offer for $725.9 million of the 3.5% bonds on Aug. 23, as previously announced.

The current conversion price is $47.18 per American Depositary Share of AngloGold, and the company's closing share price on Oct. 7 was ZAR 130.81.

Bank of New York Mellon, London Branch is the paying agent.
