Moody’s assigns Telesat Canada notes B3

Moody’s Investor’s Service said it assigned a B3 rating to Telesat Canada’s proposed $500 million senior unsecured notes due in 2027, with Telesat LLC as a co-issuer.

The company’s B1 corporate family rating B1-PD probability of default rating, Ba3 ratings on its senior secured term loan B and senior secured revolving credit facility, SGL-2 speculative grade liquidity rating, and stable outlook remain unchanged.

Proceeds will be used to repay $500 million of senior unsecured notes due in 2024.
