Taylor-Wharton seeks 120-day extension to exclusive plan-filing period

By Lisa Kerner

Charlotte, N.C., March 16 - Taylor-Wharton International LLC requested a 120-day extension to its exclusive periods to file a plan of reorganization and solicit votes on the plan, according to a Tuesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The company wants to extend its exclusive plan-filing period to July 16 from March 18 and the solicitation period to Sept. 14 from May 17.

A hearing is scheduled for April 14.

The debtors expect the court to hold a hearing on April 14 to consider confirmation of Taylor-Wharton's plan, making much of the extension unnecessary, the filing said.

Taylor-Wharton is a Mechanicsburg, Pa.-based technology, service and manufacturing network for gas applications involving pressure vessels and precision valves. The company filed for bankruptcy on Nov. 18 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. Its Chapter 11 case number is 09-14089.
