Northern Tax-Advantaged Ultra-Short Fixed Income Fund adds Gookin

San Diego, Jan. 2 - Northern Funds announced in a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that it has added Jason R. Gookin as a portfolio manager of the Tax-Advantaged Ultra-Short Fixed Income Fund.

Gookin joins Patrick D. Quinn in managing the fund's portfolio.

Carol H. Sullivan is no longer a portfolio manager for the fund.

Chicago-based Northern Trust Investments, Inc. serves as the investment adviser to the fund.
