By Jennifer Lanning Drey

Eugene, Ore., Sept. 25 - Tanner & Haley Resorts asked for court approval to request and examine certain documents it believes are relevant in the company's Chapter 11 case, according to a Monday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Connecticut.

The company wants to examine documents related to the nature, ownership, use, sale and disposition of its property and assets; claims made on assets owned by Tanner & Haley; and certain contracts, settlements or agreements.

In addition, the company is interested in income, bonuses, compensations and transfers derived by certain persons and information on certain accounts, distributions, and dividends, including membership grants.

Tanner & Haley also asked to examine documents related to financing and credit, according to the motion.

The company said a thorough examination of certain assets, acts and transactions is crucial to enabling Tanner & Haley to fulfill its obligations in the Chapter 11 case.

Tanner & Haley, based in Westport, Conn., is a hospitality and real estate company. It filed for Chapter 11 on July 23. Its case number is 06-50245.
