Synergy Pharmaceuticals’ committee of unsecured creditors appointed

Pittsburgh, Dec. 20 – Synergy Pharmaceuticals Inc.’s official committee of unsecured creditors was appointed Thursday by Region 2 U.S. trustee William K. Harrington, according to a notice filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The committee members are Patrick J. Healy of Wilmington Savings Fund Society, FSB of Wilmington, Del.; Damon P. Meyer of 1992 MSF International Ltd. of New York; Jack Triolo of Healix Global, Inc. of New York; Ben R. Carlsen of McKesson Corp. of Moon Township, Pa.; and Chris Borella of Sudler & Hennessy, LLC of New York.

Synergy is a New York-based biopharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialization of novel gastrointestinal therapies. The company filed bankruptcy on Dec. 12 under Chapter 11 case number 18-14010.
