Avondale taps Richard Sale to lead new municipal trading department

By Toni Weeks

San Diego, July 20 - Avondale Partners LLC has appointed Richard Sale as a managing director to launch the company's new municipal bond trading department, according to a press release.

Senior managing partner Pat Shepherd said that the municipal bond market is a key segment of the investment landscape that Avondale has been interested in for a long time. He expects steady growth in the firm's new municipal trading department through the next year, the release noted.

Sale brings 30 years of experience in the municipal bond industry to the firm, having held senior level positions in municipal bond trading, underwriting, institutional sales, investment banking and management. He joins Avondale from Ross Sinclair & Associates, where he was vice president.

He has also held positions at J. C. Bradford & Co., where he co-managed the municipal department, and ValuBond Securities, where was president.

Sale will be based in the company's headquarters in Nashville.

Avondale is an institutional investment bank and private wealth management firm.
