Ivy Investment, Waddell & Reed cut stake to less than 5% in SunPower

Philadelphia, Feb. 4 - Ivy Investment Management Co. and Waddell & Reed Investment Management Co. slashed their investment to less than 5% in SunPower Corp. as of Dec. 31, according to an SC 13G/A filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Those holdings are down from the passive stake of 5.3%, or 2,070,769 shares, that the investors reported owning on Dec. 31, 2007, according to an SC 13G filing.

SunPower, based in San Jose, Calif., designs and manufactures solar electric systems for residential, commercial and utility-scale power plant customers.
