SunEdison taps ResCap’s John Dubel as chief restructuring officer

By Sheri Kasprzak

New York, May 3 – SunEdison, Inc. hired as its chief restructuring officer John Dubel, former liquidating trust manager with the ResCap Liquidating Trust, according to a ResCap statement.

Dubel will remain the liquidating trust manager at ResCap until a successor is appointed, the statement said, and he will remain on the board of trustees.

“We are very happy for John in his new role with SunEdison and are committed to working with John on a smooth and seamless transition, as well as work to identify a replacement,” said Mitchell Sonkin, the trust’s chairman, in a statement.

“We are also gratified that John will be remaining with us as a member of the board, where we expect to continue to benefit from his contributions to the trust.”

Based in Maryland Heights, Mo., SunEdison operates renewable power plants. It filed for bankruptcy on April 21. Its Chapter 11 case number is 16-10992.
