SunEdison secures $190 million financing for Chilean solar power plant

Charlotte, N.C., June 30 – SunEdison, Inc. closed a $155 million nonrecourse debt financing arrangement with the Overseas Private Investment Corp., the Inter-American Development Bank and CorpBanca, which also provided a local Chilean Peso VAT facility equivalent to $35 million.

Proceeds will be used for the construction of a merchant solar power plant in Chile, according to a company news release.

St. Peters, Mo.-based SunEdison makes solar technology and develops, finances, installs and operates distributed solar power plants.
