S&P gives A to Stockton, Calif., school bonds

Standard & Poor's said it assigned an A rating to Stockton Unified School District, Calif.'s $65 million of general obligation bonds, series 2008.

In addition, S&P said it affirmed the A underlying rating on the district's outstanding G.O. debt.

The outlook is stable.
