Moody's says STMicroelectronics view negative

Moody's Investors Service said it changed the outlook on the Baa1 senior debt ratings of STMicroelectronics NV to negative from stable.

Moody's also affirmed STMicroelectronics's Baa1 rating.

The change follows cyclical earnings pressure in its core semiconductor business and elevated capital requirements at ST-Ericsson, its joint venture with Ericsson, the agency said.
