NeuroSolutions, Stem Cell Sciences to provide human neurones for drug discovery

Charlotte, N.C., July 17 - NeuroDiscovery Ltd.'s U.K. subsidiary NeuroSolutions Ltd. entered into a one-year collaborative agreement with Stem Cell Sciences plc to supply native human neurones, validated for known ion channels and receptors for drug discovery, to biopharmaceutical companies focused on neurological diseases.

NeuroSolutions will validate and characterize the electrical properties of neurones derived from Stem Cell Sciences' Neural Stem cells.

Both NeuroSolutions and Stem Cell Sciences will jointly own any new intellectual property generated as a result of their collaboration.

Based in Edinburgh, United Kingdom, Stem Cell Sciences is a biotechnology company focused on the development and application of stem cell technologies in biopharmaceutical research and cell-based therapies.

NeuroDiscovery is a neurology research and development company based in Perth, Western Australia.

NeuroSolutions provides specialized electrophysiological assays to the biopharmaceutical industry.
