Norway has 67% ownership interest in StatoilHydro

Charlotte, N.C., March 5 - StatoilHydro ASA investor Kingdom of Norway, Ministry of Petroleum & Energy acquired 18,432,168 shares of the company between Jan. 8 and March 5.

The shares were priced from $15.56 to $18.29 each, according to a schedule 13D/A filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The ministry beneficially owns 2,136,393,559 shares, or 67%, of the Stavanger, Norway-based integrated oil and gas company.

The investor does not presently intend to further increase its stake or influence StatoilHydro's business, the filing said.
