Statoil files debt securities, stock shelf

Seattle, May 29 - Statoil ASA registered to sell debt securities and ordinary shares in an S-3ASR filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Tuesday.

Debt securities may be structured as convertibles.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, which may include working capital, debt repayment and acquisitions.

Statoil is an integrated oil and gas company based in Stavanger, Norway.
