Standard Chartered plans to sell 11-year subordinated notes; talk Treasuries plus 210 bps area

Chicago, Jan. 5 – Standard Chartered plc is working on Wednesday to sell subordinated notes with an 11-year tenor, according to a market source.

The notes will come with 10 years of call protection.

The source noted that spread talk was in the Treasuries plus 210 basis points area.

Standard Chartered Bank, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan and Morgan Stanley are listed as bookrunners.

Standard Chartered is a London-based banking and financial services company with a focus on Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
