Prospect News, Aug. 6 - The City of Springfield, Ill., plans to sell $69,405,000 of water revenue bonds, according to a preliminary official statement released on Monday.

The series 2012 bonds (Aa1/AA/) have serial maturities from 2013 through 2032 and a term due 2037.

Wells Fargo Securities LLC will manage the negotiated sale.

Proceeds will be used to finance capital improvement expenditures to the city's water supply system and to refund all or a portion of certain maturities of series 1997 and series 2004 water revenue bonds.
