Spectrum Group hires David Bullock as senior vice president

By Stephanie N. Rotondo

Portland, Ore., Sept. 10 - David D. R. Bullock has joined Spectrum Group Management LLC as senior vice president, focusing on the firm's distressed investment business, according to a press release.

Bullock was previously with Advent Capital management, where he was a managing director responsible for distressed, special situations and bank loan investments. In addition, Bullock has served on a number of creditor committees, including GMAC LLC.

Prior to his stint at Advent, Bullock was a senior member of Barclay's Capital's proprietary trading desk.

"We are delighted to be joined by an experienced investor of David's caliber," said Jeffrey A. Schaffer, Spectrum's founder and managing partner, in the release.

"I have known David for many years and have worked closely with him on several investments. He will play an important role in augmenting the firm's corporate distressed investment business."

Spectrum Group management is a New York-based opportunistic investor in distressed, special situations and secured lending credit markets.
