New Issue: Barclays prices $200,000 principal-protected notes on S&P BRIC 40 index

Philadelphia, June 29 - Barclays Bank plc priced $200,000 of zero-coupon 100% principal-protected notes due June 30, 2016 linked to the S&P BRIC 40 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par plus any index gain, up to a maximum return of 51%. Investors will receive at least par.
