Fidelity's Spartan 500 Index Fund gets expense reimbursement contract

By Toni Weeks

San Diego, Jan. 4 - The Spartan 500 Index Fund announced in a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission a change to the fees for its investor and Fidelity Advantage share classes.

Effective Feb. 1, the investment adviser, Boston-based Fidelity Management Research Co., has agreed to reimburse the fund to the extent that total operating expenses, excluding interest, taxes, lending costs, commissions, extraordinary expenses and acquired fund fees, will not exceed 0.095% for investor class shares and 0.06% for Fidelity Advantage class shares. The arrangement will terminate April 30, 2013.

Formerly, the adviser did not have an expense reimbursement agreement for either class of shares.
