Morgan Stanley plans buffered participation securities tied to S&P 500

Olympia, Wash., May 23 – Morgan Stanley Finance LLC plans to price 0% buffered participation securities due Aug. 27, 2020 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The notes will be guaranteed by Morgan Stanley.
The payout at maturity will be par plus any index gain.
Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 10% and will lose 1% for every 1% decline beyond the 10% buffer.
Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC is the agent.
The notes will price on May 24.
The Cusip number is 61769HCX1.
