GS Finance to price leveraged buffered notes linked to S&P 500

Olympia, Wash., May 6 – GS Finance Corp. plans to price 0% leveraged buffered notes due Nov. 18, 2020 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The notes will be guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.
If the S&P 500 index return is positive, the payout at maturity will be par plus 1.5 times the index gain, capped at par plus 10.7%.
Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 20% and will lose 1.25% for every 1% index decline beyond 20%.
Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC is the underwriter.
The notes are expected to price May 10.
The Cusip number is 40056FG82.
