GS Finance plans leveraged buffered notes linked to S&P 500 index

Olympia, Wash., April 16 – GS Finance Corp. plans to price 0% leveraged buffered notes due May 2, 2024 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The notes will be guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.
If the index return is positive, the payout at maturity will be par plus 1.16 times the index return.
Investors will receive par if the index declines by 25% or less and will lose 1% for every 1% that the index declines beyond 25%.
Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC is the underwriter.
The notes will price on April 25.
The Cusip number is 40056FBZ7.
