CIBC plans to price digital index-linked notes linked to S&P 500

Olympia, Wash., March 20 – Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce plans to price 0% digital index-linked notes due in 23 to 26 months linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the index finishes at or above its 85% threshold level, the payout at maturity will be the maximum settlement amount of $1,125.40 to $1,147.10 for each $1,000 principal amount.

Otherwise, investors will lose 1.1765% for each 1% decline beyond 15%.

CIBC World Markets Corp. is the underwriter.

The Cusip number is 13605WQF1.
