Morgan Stanley to price buffer allocation securities on index basket

By Sarah Lizee

Olympia, Wash., Jan. 11 – Morgan Stanley Finance LLC plans to price 0% buffer allocation securities due Jan. 31, 2024 linked to a basket of the S&P 500 index, the MSCI EAFE index and the MSCI Emerging Markets index, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The best performing of the indexes will be given an 84% to 88% weight, the index with the second-best performance will be weighted at 12% to 16%, and the lowest-performing index will not count toward the basket performance.

If the basket gains, the payout at maturity will be par of $10 plus the basket return.

If the basket falls by up to 10%, the payout will be par.

If the basket falls by more than 10%, investors will lose 1% for each 1% decline beyond the buffer.

The notes are guaranteed by Morgan Stanley.

UBS Financial Services Inc. and Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC are the agents.

The notes will price on Jan. 29.

The Cusip number is 61768W657.
