Morgan Stanley plans two-year buffered PLUS tied to S&P 500

Chicago, Dec. 17 – Morgan Stanley Finance LLC plans to price buffered Performance Leveraged Upside Securities due Dec. 31, 2020 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus 200% of any index gain up to a maximum return of 22% to 27%.

Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 10% and will be exposed to any losses of the worse performing index beyond the buffer.

The notes are guaranteed by Morgan Stanley.

The notes will price on Dec. 28.

The Cusip number is 61768DSG1.
