Scotiabank to price 23- to 26-month digital notes linked to S&P 500

Chicago, Dec. 13 – Bank of Nova Scotia plans to price 0% digital notes due in 23 to 26 months linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the index finishes at or above 87.5% of its initial level, the payout at maturity will be $1,166.40 to $1,195.30 per $1,000 principal amount of notes. The maximum payment amount will be determined at pricing.

Otherwise, investors will lose 1.1429% for every 1% negative percentage change beyond 12.5%.
