New Issue: GS Finance sells $4.81 million leveraged buffered notes tied to basket

Olympia, Wash., Nov. 21 – GS Finance Corp. priced $4.81 million of 0% leveraged buffered notes due May 20, 2020 linked to a basket of indexes and an ETF, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

The basket consists of the S&P 500 index with a 40% weight, the Euro Stoxx 50 index with a 25% weight, the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets ETF with an 18% weight and the Nikkei 225 index with a 17% weight.

The payout at maturity will be par plus 1.5 times any basket gain up to a maximum settlement amount of $1,210 for each $1,000 of notes.

Investors will receive par if the basket falls by up to 15% and will lose 1% for every 1% decline beyond 15%.

Goldman Sachs & Co. is the underwriter.
