Morgan Stanley plans buffered participation securities tied to S&P 500

Olympia, Wash., Aug. 6 – Morgan Stanley Finance LLC plans to price 0% buffered participation securities due Aug. 31, 2023 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to an FWP filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes will be guaranteed by Morgan Stanley.

The payout at maturity will be par plus any index gain.

Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 29% and will lose 1% for every 1% decline beyond the 29% buffer.

Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC is the agent.

The notes will price Aug. 28 and settle Aug. 31.

The Cusip number is 61768DAQ8.
