Morgan Stanley plans buffered PLUS due 2023 linked to S&P 500 index

Olympia, Wash., Aug. 1 – Morgan Stanley Finance LLC plans to price 0% buffered Performance Leveraged Upside Securities due Sept. 6, 2023 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to an FWP filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus at least 110% of any index gain. The exact leverage factor will be set at pricing.

Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 30% and will lose 1% for each 1% decline beyond the buffer.

The notes are guaranteed by Morgan Stanley.

Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC is the agent.

The notes will price on Aug. 31 and settle on Sept. 6.

The Cusip number is 61768DBJ3.
