New Issue: RBC sells $283,500 capped buffer gears tied to S&P 500

Morgantown, W.Va., July 30 – Royal Bank of Canada priced $283,500 of 0% capped buffer gears due Jan. 30, 2020 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par of $10 plus double any index gain, up to a maximum return of 14.36%.

Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 10% and lose 1% for each 1% decline beyond 10%.

RBC Capital Markets, LLC and UBS Financial Services Inc. are the agents.
