Citigroup plans two-year capped buffer securities tied to S&P 500

Chicago, June 29 – Citigroup Global Markets Holdings Inc. plans to price 0% buffer securities due Jan. 29, 2021 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par plus any index gain, up to a maximum return of 21% to 22%.
Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to the 20% buffer and will lose 1% for each 1% drop beyond the buffer.
The notes are guaranteed by Citigroup Inc.
Citigroup Global Markets Inc. is the agent.
The notes will price on July 26.
The Cusip number is 17324CX50.
