New Issue: HSBC sells $7 million buffered AMPS linked to Russell 2000, S&P 500

Columbus, Ohio, Feb. 9 – HSBC USA Inc. priced $7 million of 0% buffered Accelerated Market Participation Securities due May 3, 2021 linked to the S&P 500 index and the Russell 2000 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the return of the lesser performing index is at least negative 11%, the payout at maturity will be a positive return equal to par plus 1.075 times the sum of 11% plus the return of the lesser performing index, up to a maximum return of 43%.

Otherwise, investors will lose 1% for each 1% decline of the lesser performing index beyond 1%.
