Goldman plans five-year notes with leverage, trigger tied to indexes

Chicago, July 14 – GS Finance Corp. plans to 0% index-linked notes due July 29, 2022 linked to the least performing of the Russell 2000 index and the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If each index finishes at or above its initial level, the payout at maturity will be par plus 1.35 to 1.45 times the gain of the worse performing index.

If either index falls but by no more than 50%, the payout will be par.

Otherwise, investors will lose 1% for each 1% decline of the worse performing index.

The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

The notes will price on July 26.

The Cusip number is 40054LJC9.
