Goldman plans four-year trigger notes with leverage tied to S&P 500

Chicago, May 4 – GS Finance Corp. plans to price 0% trigger notes due May 28, 2021 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
If the index finishes at or above its 70% threshold level, the payout at maturity will be par plus the greater of 0% and 126% to 130% of any gain. The exact participation rate will be set at pricing.
Otherwise, investors will be fully exposed to any losses.
The notes will be guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.
Goldman Sachs & Co. is the underwriter.
The notes will price on May 25 and settle on May 31.
The Cusip number is 40054LB29.
