Goldman plans three-year leveraged buffered notes linked to S&P 500

Chicago, March 14 – GS Finance Corp. plans to price 0% leveraged buffered notes due March 27, 2020 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The notes will be guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.
The payout at maturity will be par plus 1.5 times any index gain, up to a maximum settlement amount of $1,325 to $1,380 per $1,000 principal amount.
Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 20% and will lose 1.25% for each 1% decline beyond 20%.
Goldman Sachs & Co. is the agent.
The notes will price on March 24.
The Cusip number is 40054KZS8.
