GS Finance plans 0% four-year trigger notes linked to S&P 500 index

Columbus, Ohio, Feb. 10 – GS Finance Corp. plans to price 0% trigger notes due Feb. 26, 2021 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The notes are guaranteed by the Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.
If the index finishes at or above the 70% trigger level, the payout at maturity will be the greater of par and par plus 1.26 times to 1.3 times the index return.
Otherwise, investors will lose 1% for each 1% decline.
Goldman Sachs & Co. is the underwriter with JPMorgan as placement agent.
The notes (Cusip: 40054KV94) will price on Feb. 23 and settle on Feb. 28.
