Morgan Stanley to price leveraged buffered notes linked to S&P 500

Chicago, Jan. 31 – Morgan Stanley Finance LLC plans to offer 0% leveraged buffered notes due in 21 to 24 months linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus 150% of any index gain, up to a maximum settlement amount of $1,196.50 to $1,231.15 per $1,000 principal amount of notes.

Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 12.5% and will lose 1.1429% for each 1% decline beyond 12.5%.

Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC is the agent.

Morgan Stanley is the guarantor.

The Cusip number is 61768CEN3.
