Barclays plans buffered digital notes due 2019 linked to S&P 500

Columbus, Ohio, Jan. 6 – Barclays Bank plc plans to price 0% buffered digital notes due Jan. 31, 2019 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the index finishes at or above its 90% buffer level, the payout at maturity will be par plus 10% to 11%. The exact digital return will be set at pricing.

Investors will be exposed to losses beyond 10%.

Barclays is the agent.

The notes will price on Jan. 26 and settle on Jan. 31.

The Cusip number is 06741VGU0.
