Goldman Sachs plans 48-month notes with trigger, no cap linked to S&P

Chicago, Oct. 5 – GS Finance Corp. plans to price 48-month notes linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The notes will be guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.
If the index finishes above its initial level, the payout at maturity will be par the greater of any gain and the threshold settlement amount of $1,255 to $1,300.
Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 30% and will be fully exposed to any losses if the index finishes below the 70% trigger level.
Goldman Sachs & Co. is the underwriter.
The Cusip number is 40054KLK0.
