Citigroup plans leveraged notes with 17.4%-20.4% cap tied to S&P 500

Chicago, Sept. 29 – Citigroup Global Markets Holdings Inc. plans to price 0% notes due in 17 to 20 months linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The note will be guaranteed by Citigroup Inc.
The payout at maturity will be par plus triple any index gain, up to a maximum settlement amount $1,174 to $1,204 for each $1,000 principal amount of notes.
Investors will be exposed to any losses.
The exact terms will be set at pricing.
Citigroup Global Markets Inc. is the underwriter.
The Cusip number is 17324CB70.
