JPMorgan plans buffered enhanced participation notes linked to S&P 500

Tacoma, Wash., May 10 – JPMorgan Chase & Co. plans to price 0% capped buffered enhanced participation equity notes due Nov. 16, 2017 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the index return is positive, the payout at maturity will be par plus 300% of the index return, subject to a maximum payout of $1,112.50 to $1,132.00 for each $1,000 principal amount of notes. The exact maximum payout will be set at pricing. Investors will receive par if the index falls by 10% or less and will lose 1.1111% for each 1% that it declines beyond 10%.

The notes will price May 13.

The Cusip number is 48128GXX3.
