Wells Fargo plans enhanced return notes due 2018 linked to S&P 500

Chicago, April 28 – Wells Fargo & Co. plans to price 0% enhanced return securities linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes will mature between 23 and 26 month after issue.

The payout at maturity will be par plus 3 times any index gain, up to a maximum settlement amount of $1,240 to $1,282 per $1,000 principal amount of notes.

Investors will be exposed to any losses.

The exact deal terms, including maturity and cap, will be set at pricing.

Wells Fargo Securities LLC is the agent.

The notes will price in April and settle in May.

The Cusip number is 94986RL25.
