HSBC plans to price buffered uncapped notes linked to S&P 500 index

Columbus, Ohio, Sept. 29 – HSBC USA Inc. plans to price 0% buffered uncapped market participation securities due Oct. 30, 2020 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to an FWP filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the index return is positive, the payout at maturity will be equal to the gain.

Investors will receive par if the index declines by 20% or less and will lose 1% for every 1% that it declines beyond 20%.

HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. is the agent.

The notes will price on Oct. 27 and settle on Oct. 30.

The Cusip number is 40433UBA3.
