Morgan Stanley plans buffered PLUS with cap linked to indexes, fund

Chicago, Aug. 21 – Morgan Stanley plans to price 0% buffered Performance Leveraged Upside Securities due August 2020 linked to a basket of three indexes and an exchange-traded fund, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The basket consists of the S&P 500 index with a 40% weight, the Euro Stoxx 50 index with a 20% weight, Russell 2000 index with a 20% weight and the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets ETF with a 20% weight.

The payout at maturity will be par of $10 plus 152% of any gain in the basket, up to a maximum return of 33%.

Investors will receive par if the basket falls by up to 10% and will lose 1.1111% for every 1% decline beyond 10%.

Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC is the agent with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management handling distribution.

The notes will price and settle in August.

The Cusip number is 61761JH36.
