UBS to price capped leveraged buffered notes linked to S&P 500

Morgantown, W.Va., Aug. 13 – UBS AG, London Branch plans to price 0% capped leveraged buffered notes linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The notes are expected to mature between 25 and 28 months after pricing.
The payout at maturity will be par plus 1.3 times any index gain, subject to the maximum settlement amount, which is expected to be $1,218.40 to $1,256.10 for each $1,000 principal amount. The exact upside participation rate and cap will be set at pricing.
Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 15% and will lose 1.1765% for every 1% decline beyond the 15% buffer.

The notes are expected to price Aug. 14.
